This growing pharmacy software company, backed by a notable PE firm, is currently investing in its industry-leading B2B pharmacy marketplace, which connects pharmacies to wholesale suppliers via an e-commerce platform. They’re looking to bring on a VP who can lead their growth by implementing best practices in Customer Support & Service, collaborate with the Marketing team, and work with Product Management to enhance the product, all to optimize product adoption and grow revenue. This VP role will hold a P&L and be a critical player in their growth; this is a strong growth opportunity.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and implement strategies for growing the market, including expanding existing account business and driving product engagement
- Identify and implement best practices that drive product adoption
- Create operational excellence and continuous improvement for Customer Success and Customer Support.
- Gather information from pharmacy customers (buyers) to inform product enhancements and integrations that will help optimize the platform
- Work with Marketing to inform member growth strategies
- Work with Sales leader to capitalize on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
- Be a hands-on leader to your teams - give them the structure and support they need to thrive
- Leverage platform data to make data-driven decisions about product strategy and CS practices
- Hire and empower a Supplier Manager to engage with and grow the supplier community
- Own the P&L for this B2B e-commerce marketplace
- Travel often (~50%)
- If local - hybrid is available (Long Island). If in FL (Tampa), work close to others
What you’ll need:
- Strong understanding of the wholesale side of pharmacy, ideally at or with a GPO
- Strong experience in client-facing roles focused on advising, consulting, or selling to retail pharmacies, ideally independent pharmacies
- Strong understanding of pharmacy complexity and compliance
- Love for data and using it to tell stories and make data-driven decisions
- Customer/Client Success leadership, with a focus on product adoption/engagement
- A well-rounded background that could grow into a GM (Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, etc)
- Sales or Account Management - experience with upselling/cross-selling
- P&L Ownership of $5M+
- Experience working closely with Product or on product strategy
- Experience working with or overseeing Marketing
- BIG Plus: Marketplace experience, direct Product management and/or Sales experience
- BIG Plus: Be commutable to Long Island, NY or Tampa, FL
